Abstract

Summary. Diabetic osteoarthropathy (DOA) of the foot is currently a relatively common complication of diabetes mellitus. The article outlines the clinical and radiological diagnosis of DOA, classifications of disease stages and lesion localization, and principles of conservative and surgical treatment.
