Анотація
У цій статті розглядається створення, призначення та ведення реєстрів ендопротезування колінного суглоба. Розглянуто методи збору відповідних даних, вартість і способи використання цієї інформації. Реєстри повинні намагатися збирати та аналізувати дані, які цікавлять як дослідників, так і адміністраторів. Важливо усвідомлювати, що без відповідних досліджень не буде основи для реального покращення якості. Зараз реєстри стали важливими інструментами в практиці, заснованій на доказах. Постійно впроваджуються нові імплантати та методи, деякі з яких не працюють, як очікувалося. Реєстри й надалі залишатимуться важливими інструментами для виявлення проблем і мінімізації збитків протягом наступних років. Вони важливі для спеціальності в цілому, оскільки професія з хорошою документацією краще оснащена в конкурентній боротьбі за напружені медичні ресурси. Замовники медичних послуг швидше надають фінансування, коли можна показати результати попереднього фінансування, задокументувати результати лікування та передбачити майбутні тенденції.
